A snapper

While driving out of Matt's parent's neighborhood one day, Matt spotted a (huge) turtle on the sidewalk sunning itself.  We stopped, got out, and started examining it.  We kept telling Soph not to be scared, turtles are slow and nice.  Matt went to help Sophia touch it's shell, very carefully and slowly, when it jumped and snapped at them causing us all to fly backwards!  It scared us all! We quickly got back in our car and drove away.  I googled the turtle and found out it was a snapping turtle. Let's just say we learned to stay away next time!
