A cold sunny day at the zoo

We spent much of our long weekend hanging out with Hannah and Emmett, who were in town visiting.  Monday we ventured to the zoo, it was cold but so sunny!  We met at 10, and on the way my car registered the outside temp as 28 degrees! Brrrr!  But we bundled the kids up and enjoyed the morning.  Surprisingly no one complained about being cold.

Checking out the sea lion
We got to see the new baby elephant, Lily.  Her mama kept spraying the shavings all over them.  It looked like it was snowing.

The kids got Lily ears to wear

Sophia, Grace, and Claire

I can't believe she's almost 6!

I thought this was cool.  People kept putting their hand prints on the frost on this big rock.

Such a fun day

  1. What an adorable crew in that 1st picture! And also so cute of Lincoln snuggled up in the stroller. Makes me want to take the kids to the zoo, despite the cold, and especially to see baby Lily!
