A field trip downtown

The 3rd grade at Sophia's school spent months learning about the city of Portland.  They learned about each bridge, about different landmarks around the city,  and about the history of the city.  To end the unit, we took a field trip downtown and were released into the city to do our own walking tour.  I learned quite a bit from the trip!

We locked the kids up in an old jail cell at the Police museum

Anderson (with a broken leg) gave each kid a ride on his wheelchair

This tree is in the Multnomah County Library.  It has every character by Beverly Cleary etched into it.

I had to wear my Portland sweatshirt for the trip
