Memorial Weekend in Long Beach

Almost the entire Rider family showed up for at least a small part of the weekend this year.  This was our first beach weekend without Grandpa Rider, which was hard.  The family had a bench made in his honor for the golf course up the road from the house.  One night we all went and visited it together and ate his favorite snacks of chedder cheese, Ruffles potato chips, and Fresca.

The quote on the bench says, "You can't win them all...One or two would be nice." That's something you would always hear Grandpa say.

Jaycee and Sophia took 3rd place in the chalk drawing contest.  It's hard to see in the picture but it was of two cute girls playing on the beach.
