We took the kids to the twilight track meet at Westview the other night. We prefer the one through THPRD over the Hillsboro All Comers meet because there seems to be WAY less people that go to it. We signed the kids up for their four events (50 meter run, 100 meter run, softball throw, and the standing long jump). Lincoln is on young end to compete, but we wanted to see what he would do. He happily did the softball throw, and got all lined up for the 50m. But once the gun went off, he chickened out. Sophia did great in softball throw, standing long jump, and the 50m, then we decided to cut out early and skip the 100m. It's sad these meets are only the month of July, we typically only make it to 1 or 2 nights, but the kids always have a great time.
