Lincoln had his 2 month check up last week, and was a pretty good baby through it. He's been such a different baby than Sophia was. I have to say he was/is a really good sleeper, but he just always seemed to be upset and unhappy. It took him until about 7 weeks to smile, and even then it was a pretty rare occurrence. I had a feeling it was because of his tummy, he seemed to be in a pain a lot, and he would spit up ALL DAY LONG. So I brought it up to the doctor (after Lincoln spit up 6 times in the 10 min he was laying on the table) and Doctor Moshofsky decided to try putting him on Zantac. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! He is a much happier baby now, smiling all the time, talking to us, and actually letting us lay him down. The picture above would never have happened before medicine, in fact his 1 month picture like this he is screaming in it. We are so thankful we got the problem worked out!
Right now he is eating every 2-3 hours, depending on if he is sleeping. If he's awake he wants to eat every hour and a half, but I make him wait until the 2 hour mark. At night he sleeps for 4 hour stretches up to 8 hour stretches. His long stretches started right on mother's day (what a gift for me!).
To me he still looks so much like Sophia as a baby, almond eyes and such a round face. His hair is still sticking around, he really hasn't lost any of it and it's really curly when he gets out of the bath. His eyes are still a grey blue, but seem to look more blue these days, especially when we're outside. He has the longest fingers and toes too.
He loves to be outside, if he's fussy we just have to take him outside and he typically calms down. Unless he's hungry he does great in the car, usually falling asleep or keeping entertained by Sophia. His happiest times are usually in the morning, we can get lots of smiles out of him then. He is really turning into a sweet, sweet baby, we do love him a lot!

So glad you posted this!! I have been wondering if the medicine continued to help- these pictures are so so cute!! I'm messaging you now to set up a play date- we need a weekly date!!
ReplyDeleteHe is so adorable! Love the "almond eyes and such a round face" :) So glad that some medicine has helped him... poor guy!
ReplyDeleteShannon he is SO adorable! Isn't it fun to see the "family resemblance" when baby #2 comes around?! Each their own, but totally similar in many ways...LOVE it. Glad the meds helped. We ended up doing a natural route for Lacy...but immediate difference! (liquid tums basically(magnesium) Can't wait to meet this little guy! Oh...and loved the pics!
